GridTECH Connect™ is the interconnection event, offering electric utilities, grid operators, project developers, policymakers, and advocates a unique opportunity to join forces and improve the critical issue of interconnection.

In a focused and intimate setting, a diverse range of stakeholders assemble to collaborate, share best practices, and devise innovative solutions that will help us reach our climate goals.

Each event is a regionally-focused, immersive experience. Conference programming is curated by senior energy industry leaders and aims to supply attendees with actionable takeaways. The peer-to-peer roundtable discussions spark strategic conversations that go beyond vendor booths and boilerplate pitches, while unparalleled networking opportunities put you front and center with the decision-makers advancing interconnection.

GridTECH Connect is focused on both DER and utility-scale interconnection. The conference covers community solar, battery energy storage, virtual power plants, microgrids, integrated resource planning, policy and regulation, and more.

PEER-TO-PEER ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS

Strategic sponsor conversations that go beyond vendor booths and boilerplate pitches. Moderated informal, collaborative discussions around the challenges attendees are faced with. These are closed-door sessions and exclusive to conference attendees.  The sessions are one hour in length and are free of slide presentations.

NETWORKING

Meet and engage with subject matter experts and senior-level decision makers all looking to advance DER and utility-scale interconnection.

WHAT IS GRID INTERCONNECTION?

Interconnection is the most difficult and crucial aspect of many DER and utility-scale clean energy projects. State and federal standards govern the process of allowing developers to connect new projects, like solar farms, battery storage, and EV charging, to the distribution and transmission grids, respectively. These processes are often slow, expensive, unpredictable, and can make or break a project. Because of ambitious clean energy and climate goals, efficient interconnection of clean energy projects is essential. GridTECH Connect is the only event specifically designed to advance interconnection processes and policy.

There are more than 100 different interconnection procedures within the United States and for projects that fall into state jurisdictions, roughly 80% of states have adopted statewide interconnection procedures. Muni and Coops may have their own procedures and other states have no procedures at all.
